POST OPENS REGISTRATION FOR SELECTION OF SPONSORSHIP

Company aims U.S. $ 5.36 million for projects in 2008.

The Post Office will receive, until the day on April 14, registrations for the selection of sponsorships of cultural area. This year, the company is allocating U.S. $ 5.36 million for the sponsorship of the selected projects.

The participants will have two options for participation in the selection process. One covers the sponsorship of projects in the segments Performing Arts (dance or theater), Integrated Arts, Humanities (literary work, literary event or program to encourage reading), Audiovisual (exhibitions and festivals of film and video) and Music, with completion in any Brazilian state.

The other option covers specific projects to be developed in the centers and Cultural Space of Post in Salvador (BA), Kanpur (MG), Fortaleza (CE) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

To register, the person must access the system of open selection of sponsorships, page of the Post Office on the Internet (www.correios.com.br), within "Sponsorship" in the "institutional". The edicts of the complete selection can also be accessed at that address.

Each bidder may enter only one bid per project, with completion scheduled between August and December of 2008 - for projects to be carried out in centers and Cultural Space, the performance may be extended until March 2009.

Projects will be selected by a technical committee, according to the following criteria: quality, thematic, fact sheet, curricula, visibility, cost x benefit and strategic interest of the Post Office.
